The Discovery Flight is your first step to becoming a pilot or just for the fun of learning how the airplane works! (And some people just love the view!)
Join us for a Discovery Flight where you get to sit in the left seat and fly the plane. Experience the fun and excitement of flying!
Our FAA Certified Flight Instructors will provide an overview of the training process and an introduction to the airplane (without overwhelming you) and then, take you on a memorable flight.
Under their supervision, you will have the opportunity to perform all the maneuvers necessary to control the airplane. Flying is more fun than you can imagine!!
Upon landing, you and your instructor will debrief the flight, fill out your complementary logbook and answer any questions you might have about continuing your training. This flight time counts towards any FAA certified license, anywhere you decide to continue your flight training.
You can take up to two friends with you on your discovery flight, for an extra charge.

Discovery Flight to before become a private pilot
Policy and Restrictions:
- FAA rules are not negotiable!
- Maximum student weight for a Cessna 150: 200 lbs.
- Maximum combined student + passengers weight for a Cessna 172: 550 lbs.
- Anyone under 12 years of age MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the flight.
- A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to change any reservation. Changes made with less than 48 hours notice will be charged a $50 fee. No Show or Late Arrival will forfeit your ticket. Only Dallas Flight Center can make assessments on the weather. If we deem that the weather will interfere with the safety and/or purpose of the flight, you will be allowed to reschedule it without any penalties for up to one (1) year.
- You must arrive 30 minutes before your appointment time. We can not accommodate late arrivals due to limited fleet capacity and other students’ bookings.
- A Release of Liability is required.
